"What Does a Dance Major Even do?"
In the beginning of the school year, other freshmen dance majors and I were amazed by how many times we were asked by peers what a dance major even does. This inspired the topic of my first documentary, which I made in Creative Tech class.

This dance film is the first I have ever made, as an assignment for Creative Tech class. With the help of Margo Hunter and Catie Armbrecht, I utilized the fall weather, campus surroundings, and improv knowledge to enhance my filming skills.

One Hour Study:
My freshman research forum project was an observation of negative self-assessment vs positive self-awareness of dancers when doing movement through the use of mirrors and the effect of this on eye focus. My conclusions were the following:
When it comes to function and execution of the movement, the mirror is more helpful, but when it comes to internal feelings of a dancer, the mirror has more of a negative effect than a positive one. When it comes to eye focus, the results of my study allow me to infer that it is more an individualistic concept and that there is not distinct commonality in dancers.
